Nate Kievert

Mr. Kievert is excited to join the staff of the Pride of the West at Mountain Ridge HS! He currently serves as the band director at Union Park School. In addition to teaching at Union Park, Mr. Kievert also conducts the clarinet choir at Sandra Day O’Connor HS. This is his seventh year in the Deer Valley Unified School District and ninth year teaching band overall. He is originally from a (relatively) small suburb of Chicago, Illinois and earned a Bachelor’s degree in music education at the University of Kansas. This summer, I also started working toward a Master’s degree in music education, through the American Band College at Central Washington University. My primary instrument is the clarinet. I look forward to helping continue the success of the Pride of the West!
