Salvador Rodriguez – Assistant Band Director
Salvador Rodriguez has served as the Director of Bands at Isaac Middle School in Phoenix, Arizona since 2019 and as the Middle School Band Lead for the Isaac Elementary School District.
At Isaac Middle School, Mr. Rodriguez oversees the band program that consists of over 150 students in 6th through 8th grade. His responsibilities include directing the Honors Band, Symphonic Band and teaching Beginning Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion classes. Under the direction of Mr. Rodriguez, the band program has consistently earned Superior ratings at area and state festivals. Cougar Band Program recent accolades include invitation to perform at the 2024 AMEA In-Service Conference, recipient of Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation Instrument Grant in 2022, and recipient the SupportMusic Merit Award in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
He currently serves as the AMEA 7th Grade All-State Band Chair. Mr. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Music Education from DePauw University and is currently pursuing a Master of Educational Leadership degree through American College of Education. Mr. Rodriguez has been very involved in the marching arts previously serving as a percussion educator at Carmel High School (IN), Center Grove High School (IN), Lockport Township High School (IL) and Mountain Ridge High School.
Mr. Rodriguez is very excited to begin his 5th year with the Mountain Ridge High School Band Program and his first year as Assistant Band Director! He resides in Phoenix with his husband Kolin, son Garrett, and dogs Jackson and Luka.
