Band Camp
When: July 31, 2010 – Aug 3, 2010
Where: Pine Summit Camp, Prescott Az
Cost: $185 per Student
Students who attend this camp each year are much stronger marchers and players, they have an awesome attitude and possess great discipline. They have great fun with their friends and make new ones prior to the start of school. They are the leaders by example all year long. The students who don’t go start off behind; musically, marching wise, and socially. They feel a little like an outcast for the first couple of weeks as the other members carry on friendships and remember fun times from camp. They have to play catch-up, since we continue on from concepts, music, and drill learned in camp. The band family is big and getting bigger. Going to camp is one way of maintaining the family and team-working spirit or becoming a part of it if you are new to the band. Band camp is how we start our successful marching season and entire year, all band students need to be a part of it. We staff chaperones at a 1:10 ratio, some spots are open for camp. We have several that have already signed up, but don’t assume you’re on that list. Let us know again immediately! We especially need some father chaperones. To volunteer to chaperone at Band camp, please contact Diane Brabec as soon as possible.
